23-year-old exceptional lady celebrates becoming the first female Master’s degree graduate of South African University.
A 23-year-old scientist has celebrated her achievements after emerging as the first-ever female to have graduated with a Master’s Degree in Agromeetrolgy from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.
The exceptional lady who goes by the name Kiara Brewer celebrated her feat noting that she achieved that after she finished two different Bachelor’s Degree programs at the university.
She had attained a Bachelor’s of Social Sciences in Geography and Environmental Sciences and also another Bachelor’s of Science in Geography and Environmental Management before enrolling for her Master’s Degree.
“Your very first coloured, female Master of Science in Agrometeorology, and to top it off my MSc was achieved *𝘤𝘶𝘮 𝘭𝘢𝘶𝘥𝘦*!,” she wrote on Linkedin.
Kiara Brewer’s background is noteworthy in that she started out as a social science student, earning two degrees before switching to science and earning her master’s degree in Agrometeorology.
She also disclosed that, despite going from social science to science, she finished the three degrees in less than six years. “3 degrees in 6 years, the challenging transition from social sciences to science and I did it all at the age of 23,” Kiara added.
Kiara who currently works as an Associate at PwC South Africa was congratulated by family and friends as they trooped in to celebrate with her on her graduation day.
